An armored catalogue

This site will be dedicated to all the armor which exists and has excisted in our world, based on availabe data and original research. This site will show which armoured vehicles existed where and when. It won't be an encyclopedia but more a catologue of every armored vehicle in the whole world. This site is not intended to be packed with technical data, but raw production and operation numbers.
Countries without armies or with armies which don't employ armored vehicles are not featured on this site. Armored vehicles operated by (non-military) police forces are included as well.

When Benin became independent from France, they acquired 15 Greyhounds. Twenty years later, the first and only tanks were bought from the Soviet-Union. During co-operation with the Belgian army, they got some old equipment from them.

The small army of Saint Kitts and Nevis operates only 3 Ferret armored vehicles.

Bolivia

The Bolivian army bought their first armored vehicles in 1931. Five vehicles saw combat in the Chaco War. Before World War 2, they only bought some Italian CV.33 tankettes. In 1978 and 1979 they bought a large amount of tanks and armored cars which are still the main armored force.

The first armored vehicle of Ecuador was a Marmon-Herrington tank in 1942. The army extended afterwards.

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) was formed in 1965. The first armored vehicles were acquired in 1971.

Peru

Suriname

Suriname gained independence from the Netherlands in 1975, so the army is relatively young. The Dutch army aided Suriname with some DAF vehicles and that's where the armored story starts. In 1984 Suriname bought several vehicles from Brazil. In 2013 they acquired one Colombian Hunter TR 12 and they will probably buy more in the near future.
